CMYK for image-heavy layouts
This is the biggest challenge at 8.5×11 on IngramSpark. Your cookbook photos, children’s illustrations, or portfolio images are probably in RGB. They must be converted to CMYK before building the PDF.
What happens if you don’t convert:
- Colors shift — especially blues and greens look muddy in CMYK
- IngramSpark may reject the file outright
- Even if accepted, printed colors won’t match your screen
