KDP's minimum inside gutter increases at 151 pages (to 0.5 in), 301 pages (to 0.625 in), and 501 pages (to 0.75 in). If a late edit pushed your book from 298 pages to 302 pages, a 0.5 in inside margin immediately fails KDP Print Previewer.
